At this point, it would be a fair criticism against me to question why I am making a point of watching and reporting on every episode if I seem to dislike most episodes I see. Like anything Black Mirror has its ups and down, it's ins outs and what have yous. I find that in actuality, most Mirror watchers don't pog for every episode. There are some good ones ahead. My liked ones may not match everyone's.
Anyway. Worth noting that the release date of this episode was early 2013, because the obvious thing you may be thinking of didn't start happening in earnest until 2015 or so. Some things were happening giving hints that that or something like that would happen, which inspired the episode. Also, it is obvious and overdone to the death to talk about the thing in relation to the episode, and even talking about the general subject is like talking about the thing by proxy, so this is going to be a short one.
