The ship is getting hit by comets, or is it meteors? The people who wrote this don't know the difference between comets and meteors. They find and astronomer that is tracking the comet the ship is nearing in its course. Well, turns out he has a "reactor" that can steer the ship. For reasons, he needs the gang to help him, but they do it. They change the ship course away from the comet that is damaging the ship, so presumably off it's course from colliding with a sun. They do the thing. They actually did the thing. Considering they actually did the thing the end of this episode is extremely unceremonious.
