The vibe I’m getting from this episode is, it feels like it is a table top campaign and Space Moustache here already thinks he knows the puzzle, but the DM is fighting him with it because, he is supposed to be a confused guy from an Amish isolation bubble. Anyway, two goals are established, they want to find the backup bridge and / or “fire the reactors”. So, they find all these cryopods that probably have people that know more about the ship than they do. The problems are, the guy they thaw don’t know a lot about ship function as he was a communication officer. Well, wouldn’t you know it. Also, there are generational feral hall monitors blocking them. The guy should at least be able to give clear directions to the backup bridge, but somehow can’t. Basically, since the intention was episodic syndication, they can’t make progress that would be discernable in the next episode. So, they can’t thaw out more guys, they can’t use this place in conjunction with things and places they find in future episodes. It has to reset to a state of no progress. I don't get how the feral tribe in the hallway works. They say they hunt for food. Hunt what? It’s a spaceship. Where do they go to the bathroom? I guess they are cannibals that eat strangers they deem trespassers, but would that happen enough that to sustain a populace? Even then, they would have to cook the meat. Cook with what? What do they burn for fire? For my taste, that all wasn’t explanatory enough.
