So, the ship is divided into these various isolated pods representing a different sector of humanity that has spun out in isolation from other cultures. The idea is, they sometimes go to the habitation pods in case “someone knows how to save the ship”. This is also a way to maintain episodic format. What pods they were at before isn’t necessary to context. This could be the first pod; this could be the twentieth. Somehow or other, this pod became a kind of Roman Empire type place. Also, these people are grown as clones or something and are all male. They have mythologized women in these generations of gender isolation and have a goddess in their pseudo-Roman pantheon. Wouldn't you know it? Their goddess idol looks exactly like Gay Rowan. She ends up in a forced marriage to the emperor because of this and... I'm sorry. This is terrible sci-fi going on here. They do a poor job of explaining this setting, and this episode is just taking up space. Really all the they find another pod episodes are filler. You would think this was a “zombie” show where they stayed on air forever and this is them running out of steam. This is the third episode of only 16 that exist. They got John Colicos who was in Star Trek in the hopes of conflating themselves to a sci-fi series people know and like, and this will not be the last time they try to use former Star Trek actors in this way.
